People often ask how to correctly measure for the length they need on items. This is the run down of how to do so.

Newborn 7″ anklets: These are fully adjustable and will fit an average baby from birth til about 9 months as an anklet. These do tend to NOT be enough amber for teething.
Fully adjustable 9″ anklets: These work as a great alternative to teething necklaces or a way to keep amber on while your child is asleep. These normally will fit from birth (tripled over) on up. These CAN last into adulthood. They aren’t as great as having a teething necklace but will still work for teething for the average teething child.

Measuring for a necklace/bracelet/anklet (non adjustable) you can use a piece of string and wrap it around the neck/wrist/ankle to get a length desired. Measure this with a measuring tape and then add 1 1/2-2″ to account for beads. Use this to measure for all NON ADJUSTABLE length jewelry I offer.

The average length for a teething necklace is 12-13″. The base length on most in stock teething necklaces is this length. Adult instock base length is around 18″ and for customs starts at 16″ (choker length for most). The average adult bracelet is 7-8″ and instock reflect this. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE CORRECTLY!

ANOTHER question I’m often asked is can these be lengthened? The answer is if it is on silk or polyester then YES! Here’s how you stretch it! You just grab it with both hands as if you were about to climb a rope NOT at the clasp but just below and spread your hands apart working your way down the necklace to the center making sure to NOT pull where the flowers are, if you do it there it will make them deformed. Then continue up the other side. This will stretch the necklace and give you enough length to make it the length you need to fit your baby. Just don’t pull too hard or you will stretch it longer than you want to.

These necklaces and bracelets are designed with several safety features in the event of emergency. These necklaces have been knotted between each bead as a safety measure in case the child breaks it, the necklace will only lose one bead lessening the chance of the child swallowing a bead and choking. This necklace has been designed a durable thread that with extreme force will break which is part of the design. Also this necklace has been designed with a screw clasp that is knotted from the inside that will provide a break away (separation) point in the event of being tightened too much or getting caught again to prevent the possibility of strangulation.
